Canadian photographer Charlotte Letkemann is a retired teacher who began her professional photographic endeavours in recent years, turning her love of scenic photos and landscape photographs into an accomplished photography career. Many of her artistic photographs are taken near her home in Canada’s Niagara region. Her striking Niagara Falls pictures represent but one portion of the beautiful area where she lives. When working outdoors on landscape photographs and nature photos near home, or in locales such as Allegany State Park or Letchworth State Park, Charlotte works with ambient natural light, creating scenic photos of idyllic landscapes. Her summer pictures of fruit grown in the Niagara region, the brilliant reds and golds of her autumn photos, the calm, snowy winter photos, and floral pictures from home and abroad catch her photographer’s eye.

Charlotte and her husband Arno, also a professional photographer and picture framer, live in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the first capital of Upper Canada. They have travelled throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, and Israel, capturing scenic photos of their travels. These, as well as numerous artistic photographs of their hometown, have appeared in exhibitions throughout the Niagara region. Charlotte continues to produce pictures of fruit, vineyards, gardens, historic sites, and natural wonders of the Niagara area, including a beautiful selection of Niagara Falls pictures. Many of these charming spring, summer, and autumn photos, as well as her winter photos and architectural subjects of the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, appear on the popular artistic greeting cards produced by the Letkemann family, and are sold under the name “OUR WONDROUS WORLD.” The Niagara Falls pictures, like the floral pictures and nature photos of other areas, have been captured throughout various seasons of the year. The rich tones of her colourful autumn photos are a perennial favourite, as are the peaceful scenes of her pastoral landscape photographs. Her quiet, snowy winter photos remain a big hit throughout the year.

In addition to these various artistic photographs, there are photographs of New York’s Allegany State Park and Letchwork State Park, producing a particularly beautiful set of nature photos, as well as Baha’i pictures of the Baha’i World Centre in Haifa, Israel, and Baha’i pictures of the magnificent Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois. The recent Baha’i pictures of the temple in Wilmette (near Chicago) depict the majesty this magnificent House of Worship, built as a gift to peoples of all faiths as a place to come worship in unity. Her artistic photographs capture this site in various light and weather conditions, providing another selection of scenic photos. These photographs, as with those of New York’s scenic Allegany State Park and Letchworth State Park, the various Baha’i locales and the naturally beautiful Niagara region, make excellent wall art and artistic greeting cards for lovers of fine photography.

The commercial photography of the Letkemanns, including not only nature photos with pictures of fruit, plants, and flowers, but also architectural and product photography by Arno, is used in a variety of advertising forms, including trade catalogues, brochures, postcards, and websites.

Arno operated his own portrait studio in Niagara-on-the-Lake for nearly twenty years. During that time he photographed numerous local families and individuals. Among his clients were members of the company of Niagara-on-the-Lake's professional theatre, the Shaw Festival Theatre. In recent years he has begun to specialize in product photography and other commercial assignments.
