PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
by Canadian Photographer - Charlotte Letkemann
She and her husband, Arno, a professional photographer and picture framer, live in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. They have travelled throughout Canada, the U.S.A., Europe and Israel. Photographs of these travels, as well as those of her home town, have appeared in her exhibitions. Charlotte continues to produce photographs of the fruitlands, gardens, historic sites and natural wonders the Niagara Region. Many of these appear on the popular photo art cards produced under the name “OUR WONDROUS WORLD”. They also provide series of cards of Allegany and Letchworth State Parks in New York, as well as of the Baha’i World Centre in Haifa, Israel. An “O CANADA” series is in the making. The opportunity to photograph various sites of the Baha’i World Centre came while traveling with the international Baha’i choir, Voices of Baha. On two occasions, Charlotte was amongst the choir members who were able to visit this holy spot. She recently photographed the Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette - near Chicago - a magnificent temple built as a gift to peoples of all Faiths as a place to come worship in unity with each other. Her photos capture this site in various light and weather conditions. The commercial photography of the Letkemanns, including product photography by Arno, is used in a variety of advertising forms including trade catalogues, brochures, and websites.
Arno operated his own portrait studio in Niagara-on-the-Lake for nearly twenty years. During that time he photographed numerous individual and family portraits as well as weddings. Among his clients were members of the company of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s professional theatre, the Shaw Festival Theatre. In recent years he has developed expertise with digital photography and now specializes in product photography and other commercial assignments. Exhibits, Presentations, Where cards are sold Exhibits
